The boys are away...Mommy must paint!

My husband took our son to California to visit family last summer (2010) for 4 days. During this time, the first time I had been without my son over night, I painted. This was my first realistic painting. I love all the color and the clouds are so perfect. The tree roots seem so real, I really enjoyed myself while painting this picture, it led me down the path of more realistic paintings.

A shining light in the dark :)

My third acrylic painting done in 2009. I had a really hard time with this one. I kept starting over, I like the colors on the black and I love the yellow sun. Its like a shining light in the dark the happiness in the sadness. The specks and steams of color and light in a dark background. Its not my favorite but I like it okay.

Puzzle Work

This one was done in 2008. It took me about 2 weeks of an hour or so a night to finish it was a lot of work but I think it turned out pretty cool. It is also in acrylic :)

My first painting

I painted this in 2007 I didn't really think too much about doing it or making it perfect it was my first painting. I use acrylic paints.
